Okay, I admit it. I have an emotional attachment to the above photo. Sure, it can be picked apart critically for many technical reasons but for many other reasons, it will always remain near and dear to my heart.
I made the photo of my daughter with a Pentax ME Super manual focus SLR. I can't remember the actual lens used but I remember that I hand held a star filter over it while I tried to capture the sense of wonderment she was experiencing from blowing bubbles on our patio. I shot it on slide film that I later processed myself in my home kitchen. I believe it was Kodak Ektachrome 100. About 15 years later, I scanned the slide digitally and lightly edited it in my computer.
